896884 Gunner John Philip Jaques of the 1st Regiment, Royal Horse Artillery, died in north Africa on the 3rd June 1942. He was born in Northamptonshire but living in London when he enlisted. John Jaques was 21 years old when he died. He was the son of Harry Francis and Margaret Matilda Jaques, of Rushden, Northamptonshire. He is buried in Knightsbridge War Cemetery, Acroma in Libya.
