I was a day ahead of myself yesterday, consequently here's what I should have written:
3446249 Private George Kenneth Lord of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps, died in the Fare East on the 28th June 1943. He was 27 years old, the son of James and Sarah Lord, and the husband of Elizabeth Ellen Lord, of Yeadon, Yorkshire. He was part of the 18th Divisional Ordnance Workshop and presumably died as a prisoner of war of the Japanese. He is buried in Kanchanaburi War Cemetery in Thailand.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, WE WILL REMEMBER THEM.
