35377 Capt Frank Green, 13th Bn Royal Fusiliers

35377 Captain Frank Green of the Royal Fusiliers died on the 15th November 1940. He was 46 years old and, according to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, was the "son of Mr and Mrs Henry Green, [and the] husband of Hilda May Green of Balham, London, who was killed in the same incident." The incident was presumably an Air Raid, as the entry for Hilda May Green (aged 56) reads, "... of 175 Ramsden Road, Balham, London. Daughter of the late A J and Ann Dillow; wife of Capt. Frank Green (killed in same incident). Died at 58 Wolseley Road." Frank is buried in Islington Cemetery and I presume his wife is also buried there although this is not implicitly stated on the CWGC site.

6460892 Fusilier Paul Scrutton of the 2nd Battalion, Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment) died on the 1st June 1940. He was born in west London and living in Kent when he enlisted. He is one of five United Kingdom casulaties buried in Comines Communal Cemetery in France.

6457845 Fusilier Christopher Henry Frederick Riley, 1st Bn, Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regt)

6457845 Fusilier Christopher Henry Frederick Riley of the 1st Battalion, Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment), died on the 9th December 1940. He was 25 years old, the son of Christopher James Riley and Barbara Ann Riley of Thetford, Norfolk. Christopher was born in east London and was living there when he enlisted. He is buried in the Halfaya Sollum War Cemetery in Egypt.
