He was 40 years old, the son of George George and Susan Marian George (nee Howes), and the husband of Doris Lillian George, of West Croydon, Surrey. He is buried in the El Alia Cemetery in Algeria.

318096 Sergeant Thomas Tighe of the 9th (The Queen's Own Yorkshire Dragoons) Battalion, King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, died on the 11th February 1944. He was 23 years old and the son of Brian Joseph and Emily Amelia Tighe of Goole, Yorkshire. He is buried in the El Alia cemetery in Algeria.
