269264 Second Lieutenant William Laurence Megaw of the Somerset Light Infantry had been seconded to the 1st Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he died on the 18th February 1943. He was 19 years old and the son of the Reverend William Rutledge Megaw and Mabel Megaw of Belfast, Northern Ireland.

William Megaw has no known grave and is commemrorated on the Rangoon Memorial in Myanmar.

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission notes that he was the son of Ralph James Gillingham and Lucy Jane Gillingham, of Wincanton, Somerset.

Edgar Gillingham is buried in Delhi War Cemetery; grave reference 1.B.12. He was 28 years old when he died.
