7622167 Pte James Kevill, RAOC

7622167 Private James Kevill of 18 Ordnance Store Company, the Royal Army Ordnance Corps died at sea, presumably as a result of wounds sustained in the North African Campaign, on the 25th October 1941. He was 23 years old, the son of James and Mary Anna Kevill. He is commemorated by name on column 84 of the Alamein Memorial.

At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, WE WILL REMEMBER THEM.

3446249 Pte George K Lord, RAOC

I was a day ahead of myself yesterday, consequently here's what I should have written:

3446249 Private George Kenneth Lord of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps, died in the Fare East on the 28th June 1943. He was 27 years old, the son of James and Sarah Lord, and the husband of Elizabeth Ellen Lord, of Yeadon, Yorkshire. He was part of the 18th Divisional Ordnance Workshop and presumably died as a prisoner of war of the Japanese. He is buried in Kanchanaburi War Cemetery in Thailand.

7611837 L/Cpl Albert Iball, RAOC

7611837 Lance-Corporal Albert Iball of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps, died on the 25th June 1942. He was 23 years old, the son of Albert W and Edith Iball of Langold, Nottinghamshire. He is buried in the El Alamein War Cemetery in Egypt.

7611229 Pte Ernest Oakes, RAOC

7611229 Private Ernest Oakes of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps died on the 19th April 1940. He was a Manchester-born man, living in the city when he enlisted. Ernest was the son of Edward Thomas Oakes and Margaret Oakes of West Gorton, Manchester, and was 33 years old at the time of his death. He is buried in Bois-Carre British Cemetery at Thelus in France.

7614961 Private James Hullah of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps, died on the 5th April 1942. He was a 23 year old Yorkshireman from Leeds and he died in Egypt. He is buried in Port Said War Memorial Cemetery.
