226175 Captain Philip Lewis Tilley of the Royal Armoured Corps, died on the 4th July 1945. He was born in Somerset and was living in Wiltshire when he enlisted. He originally joined the Royal Gloucestershire Hussars and was attached to the Headquarters of XXXIII Corps, RAC at the time of his death. Philip Tilley was 33 years old and the son of Arthur Herbert and Edith Anna Tilley. He is buried in Rangoon War Cemetery in Burma.
