5249944 Pte Samuel L Ball, 1st Bn, Worcs Regt

5249944 Private Samuel Leonard Ball of the 1st Battalion, Worcestershire Regiment, died on the 1st July 1944. He was born in Wolverhampton and was living in Worcester when he enlisted. He was 29 years old, the son of Samuel and Edith Ball of Low Hill, Wolverhampton. He is buried in Banneville-La-Campagne War Cemetery in France. Samuel was one of 372 British Army officers and men to die on this date.
