W/52953 Private Elsie Higgs of the Auxiliary Territorial Services, died on the 9th March 1940 in England. Elsie was a Manchester-born girl and was just 18 when she died. She was the daughter of Frederick and Esther Hannah Higgs, of Gorton in Manchester and she is buried in Manchester's Gorton Cemetery,
