Cornishman, 2066363 Sapper Eric Garfield Spear of the Royal Engineers, died in North Africa on the 18th May 1942. He was 20 years old, the son of William John and Harriet Spear of Lostwithiel, Cornwall. He is buried in the Tobruk War Cemetery in Libya.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, WE WILL REMEMBER THEM.
